... to know who [sorta regularly] reads my blog!!!
January 30th was technically my blog's FIRST birthday but I'm posting this today since it wasn't really until February 1st that I wrote a decent entry. But wow... 1 year! Haha - can you believe it? Actually, I can. I feel like I've written a library!
So for my blog's birthday...all I ask of you - is to drop me a little comment to let me know you're there. I know people read my blog with something of regularity, because folks I already know, tell me to my face. However, I get very few comments so it'd be really nice to know that folks are reading and [perhaps] enjoying what I'm putting out there! Whether I've met you, or haven't, whether I used to know you and now don't, whether you think I hate you (I hate no one!) or love you - whatever the case... please drop me a teeny note to say hello and perhaps tell me where you're from, how you found me and how long you've been reading. You really don't have to say anything more than Hi but I'd also love to know why it is you read my blog - Do you enjoy certain things? Have you learned something new? Do you think I'm funny? dorky? so lame it's entertaining? Do you actually hate it but are a glutton for punishment? Are you one of my friends and I make you?
How do I leave a comment?! At the bottom of this entry (and any entry) there is a link that says "# Comments" (where # is typically 0!!) Click on that and enter the fields! And as far as I know - even though you enter your email address... I have no way of seeing it. At least I can't figure that part out (and I majored in computers!) So that's also worth noting that if you ask me a question or something - the only place I can reply to you is in the comments; I can't email you an answer.
Thanks for reading! My blog has been such a fun way for me to track many things and it is an outlet I cherish - for all the things I love: photography, writing, [doggie] and cooking. I'd highly recommend it!!
Happy Birthday little bloggie!!
I'm Kati, originally from Castro Valley (near you) and now living in Half Moon Bay (near ... you.) That part is kind of creepy.
ReplyDeleteI'm 24, 3/4 student and 1/4 freelance admin assistant, and really wanting to make a career of documentary photography.
I read through Google Reader (RSS), and like seeing your birthday posts and LOVED your Africa trip post! (Especially the mantra "Africa's not for sissies.")
Keep blogging, I like seeing you here! :)
I found your blog in an email you sent to me telling me to read your blog.
ReplyDeleteI read your blog because you make me and I have no choice.
And then I send links to friends and family on a regular basis because you are so flipping artsy fartsy and fancy pantsy.
And I comment all the time. So there.
Hey! Just went back and looked at what you were blogging about a year ago. I must say you've made great advances with your photography. Your pictures back then (certainly not bad, by any means) looked like someone who liked taking pictures a lot and knew a thing or two about taking them. Your pictures now are just so damn professional looking. I thought you would like to know that.
ReplyDeleteRock on, sister!
Happy Blogiversary! I'm a nurse from San Diego and have been reading your blog for about a month now. I enjoy reading about your travels as well as learning techniques from you! My parents are filipino but I grew up here in the states. I love to bake not only because I enjoy making other people happy but because I find it relaxing, too! Thanks for sharing and blogging!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your blog!
ReplyDeleteLove your puppy pictures!
Happy Birthday Lucca. You already know who I am.
ReplyDeleteI've only started recently. Love your pictures!
ReplyDeleteI read too! And secretly hope that one day you will share your recipes with me. :) Hopefully Scott and I can come visit one of the next times I come down there. Hope all is well with you guys!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I know Scott and Kevin read too cause they always ask me if I've seen what's on your blog recently... mostly they ask about the food :)
ReplyDeleteHappy blogiversary! You found me when I asked for good eats in the bay area and I figured any chick who knows her sushi and chinese eats around SF is good to go :) Lucca is so big now. Puppyhood doesn't last long (sometimes that's a good thing, sometimes it's sad). Sorry I don't comment often, I've been uber swamped lately and.. I *hate* blogger :( xxoo
ReplyDeleteI can't clearly remember how long I have been reading your blog. Due to the pain and horror of the experience I have blocked many details from my mind. I do seem to recall being in the office and tied to a chair and forced to drag my eyes inch by painful inch through pictures of puppies and food. Enough! I have broken out in a sweat just relating this much of that painful day. Now thanks to you, you fiend, my mind is so twisted I come back often to receive more suffering.

OK really, I'm a sucker for the pup even though I am a cat person, and I take a perverse pleasure in the feeling of inadequacy I feel when viewing this wanton display of your many talents.

In truth, I enjoy your blog for a number of reasons (photos, pup, food) but not least for your heart felt commentary on the important things, like (puppy) parenthood, family and friends. Thanks for sharing.

You'll be pleased to note I have fixed my name, so as to eliminate any further confusions about which Chris or Chris H I happen to be. :D
i follow the blog religiously, and have been doing so since its inception, usually shaking my head at your "martha steward-ness", then rubbing my belly wishing i had whatever food you just made and posted a picture of. a year later, i still stupidly check in with your blog during lunch, when i am starving and the food is usually not as good as what you just made. secretly, i log on as often as i do because someday, i hope you will have a brain fart, and just DECIDE to post the recipes for your coffee crunch cake and chocolate chip cookies... who am i kidding? i don't cook the way you do. someday, i hope to come to your blog and find a button that reads "amy, click here for an eternity of my cooking, whenever you want, whereever you want!"

ReplyDeleteI'd leave more comments, but I'm just not witty enough (at least when writing down my thoughts) to do my poignant thoughts justice. :)
ReplyDeleteHonestly, when are you going to quit work and do this full time.
My name is Al. I like your blog. I like puppies. I like food. Your blog has both. Your pictures make me drool. The food, not the puppies so much. You use good English. I get quizzed "have you read my blog?" so I must keep up with your current events. It's okay because I like puppies and food. Keep up the good work and great pix!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog Lise because it's full of my favorite topics...food, travel & Lucca!
ReplyDeleteHello sweet little puppy, you look so cute and adorable baby lab.
ReplyDeleteBtw, I have two Golden Retrievers, they are gorgeous too.
Cheers,
Elra
